Kayla Parker

Kayla Parker grew up in Bozeman, Montana — the kind of place where knowing your gear matters — and that early immersion in outdoor culture never really left her. Now based in Houston and writing for GiftGrader, she brings over 12 years of hands-on sourcing, testing, and gift-guide writing to every recommendation she makes. Her B.S. in Recreation Management from Montana State and NASM personal training certification give her a practical lens most gift curators simply don't have. Kayla's work has appeared on OutdoorLife.com and REI's editorial blog, and her hobby-gift resource series drew 200,000+ readers in its first year alone. From hiking and cycling to fishing and niche hobby finds, she covers sport and outdoor gifts across every skill level and budget. She owns more carabiners than kitchen utensils — and considers that a perfectly reasonable trade-off.
